When foul-mouthed, tattooed, vegan Marie Diaz-Austin accepted a summer internship on a ranch north of Santa Barbara to work with underprivileged and special needs kids she was expecting hard work. She wasn't expecting the gorgeous, but conservative rancher, Will Thrash who wants nothing to do with left-wing hippies like her.

While they both may be stubborn when it comes to climate change, they're much less rigid about considering a summer fling. Although they hate each other’s politics, they can't deny their immediate and growing attraction to each other. But when the stakes are raised and they're forced to make a choice what will give? Their principles or themselves?

Diane's Review
I've been lucky enough to have encountered quite a few new author's while doing some reviews.  Leslie is a new one for me, believe me she delivered an amazingly funny 5 star story.  She didn't disappoint me in the least.  I received The Stars In The Sky by Leslie McAdam as an ARC in a exchange for an honest and spoiler free review.

What do you get when a stubborn sexy, alpha ranching cowboy who only wears Wranglers that drives a pick up truck meets a coloured hair, vegan, full of tattoos with an eyebrow ring hippie who drives a biodiesel Mercedes Benz?  You get a full show of Fire Works.

Marie gets an internship to a ranch for the summer to work with special need kids.  She is set in her ways.  She literally crashes into a naked Will.  While reading this book, Will reminded me of Scott Eastwood in The Longest Ride.  They say opposites attracts.

This book was a breath of fresh air because these characters were not flawed and damaged.  What Leslie created was some very funny distinguishable characters that made me laugh at every turn.  They are so highly entertaining with a never a dull moment in sight.  It's not an overly sad, full of angst, sappy kind of story.  The story was funny, engaging, entertaining.  The snarky  banter going back in forth between Will and Marie had me chuckling throughout this amazingly addicting read.  I must have read this book in a day, I just couldn't seem to want to put it down.

The characters development was perfect, a well written storyline, fast paced that flowed effortlessly with a seamless plot.  The chemistry between these 2 is tangible, while building up to sexy scenes that are just so scorching hot.  I just loved the nicely  written epilogue. Overall I loved everything about this book.

Standalone told in dual POV with an incredible HEA.  This is the second in the Giving you... Series.  I didn't read book one which made me somewhat nervous because I like to read them in order.  But Leslie only brought back the characters from book 1 into a few scenes that didn't alter the present story.  I didn't feel like I was missing some key points.  I highly encourage the readers to give this awesome book a try, it's well worth the readers time and money.  Looking forward to read more from Leslie McAdam in the near future.

Author Bio

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves - even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it's Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She's unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that's what editors are for!).

Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she's not in the writing cave you'll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.
