INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR C.C BROWN

C.C Brown is a wonderful and talented young writer; I was enchanted by her talents when I read her duet Novel Red Flags, which I love to this day and will never forget about.
Her work is fresh and has a little something special which I like to call "The C.C".  All her books so far has carried a positive message and reflect on real life, her characters are relate-able, everyone will be able to identify with at least one aspect of her creations because they are drawn from real life.
I am so honored to be doing this interview with C.C Brown not only is she a brilliant writer she is also a very nice and lovely person.
She is here today to talk about her New Novel "Shattered" and tell us a little bit about her up coming projects

Interview with C.C Brown
SBB~ Hay, thank toy so much for stopping by, I know you are a very busy lady so I will get straight to it.
Where did you get the inspiration for the book "Shattered"?
It actually started out as something else entirely.  I ran the idea by my mom and she said there was too much happening in one book, so I should consider stripping some of the conflict away.  I did, and Shattered is what I was left with.

Is the story was based on people you know /actual events or just something that you came up with purely fiction?
I don't think any fiction is purely fiction.  I am certainly not Dallis.  I still have both of my parents, but I have friends who have gone through this type of heart ache, so I pulled from them and their experiences.

Why the name Dallis & Grayson
Dallis, for some reason, has always been a favorite of mine, but my husband never wanted to name our daughter that, so I knew I'd use it in a story of mine.
Grayson is just an all-around sexy name.

What is your writing process and was it different to Red Flags /Enlightened?
I note take, but when the story comes to me, I just sit down and write.  I actually wrote Shattered at the same time that I was writing Enlightened! J

Do you fall in love with your main characters, because I sure did?
OH! My! GOSH!
I did fall in love with my main characters, both of them!  Dallis, as much as some readers didn't like her, is a lot like me.  She is closed off, until you break down her walls.  She speaks her mind, never letting anyone else tell her how or when to do things.  Dallis is ME! LOL
Grayson…. Ahhhhh!  Who doesn't love him?  He's tatted, hot, compassionate, yet equally broken.  Grayson was written with a whole lot of my husband's personality traits.  He's sweet, but tough when he has to be!  Who doesn't love a man like that?

You took us on a very emotional ride, you had a lot of people crying. Do you cry and get caught up while writing an emotional scene?
Most of them, yes!  I will be staring at my computer screen, tears streaming down my face.  I'm sure my kids think mommy is a crybaby! J

"Shattered" is so different to your, previouwork what made you take this route?
I wanted to branch out.  The last thing I want to do is get boxed into a certain type of book.  I wrote the angst filled book, so I wanted to try something a bit more emotional.  I loved the process, but I will be returning back to my angst! I love it.

Have you ever suffered the kind of lost, Dallis and Grayson?
No I haven't.  I can't even imagine.

What is your favorite scene or quote from the book?
My favorite scene is probably at the cemetery.  Some true soul searching happens there, and Dallis finally starts to make a break through.

What can you tell us about your currents projects?
I'm a Marine Wife and I've had this idea for a military series for a while, so I decided to jump into it.  Fraternizing is the first book in the series, slated for a fall 2013 release date.  It's a forbidden love story between a Marine Corps Instructor and a newly enlisted Marine.  If you know anything about the military…. Let's just say careers could be RUINED because of it! J J J
I'm also outlining Grayson's story, Lost!  His book is going to take its toll on me, so I have to take my time.

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I am a horrendous singer… but it doesn't stop me from singing!

Who are your favorite book couple? (I already know this one)
GIDEON & EVA! J Omg… you can't go wrong with these two.

What advice would you give to new Authors?
*skimming my brain thinking of what all of my author friends have told me*
Just write! Write what you feel. Write what you love.  It may not always be what is popular, but if you love it, you should go with it.

Thank you so much for doing this interview, it was nice chatting with you.
Thanks so much for having me!
